Love

1 Corinthians 13 : 4 - 7
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant
or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Don't ever say you love some one if that feeling you called "love" is not like this.
I admire people who can love another person like what said in Corinthians.

It is hard to say you love someone, but it is easy to say you care about someone.
Now just think, God says so many times that He loves us, what do you think about that?

Christmas?

Christmas ? what is it all about? why are people all over the world celebrating it?
Why is Christmas day so significant for christian people?

How many people celebrating this day without knowing the true meaning of Christmas? true meaning for them of course. Not the true meaning for christians, but the true meaning for each of us.

I have been talking mostly about our individual relationship with Jesus lately and for Christmas day i want to say the same thing.

Every year i have been celebrating Christmas with reasons such as :
1. Yay its holiday for at least 2 weeks!!
2. Whoohoo food and party in the church after the service
3. Gathering of the whole family
4. Going out with LOTS of friends
5. Lots and lots of invitations to a Christmas party
6. Gifts of course

They are pretty familiar reasons aren't they?
I want it to be different this year, i want it to have a special meaning this year..
i really want to be very grateful for the existence of Christmas day, i want to have a personal reason for celebrating Christmas.

I haven't found out yet the specific reason to celebrate christmas this year.. what i have been thinkin is being grateful that Jesus was born but it is pretty obvious and general or for me it is too common.
Maybe i am a bit selfish but i want a reason that will make me very happy in chirstmas day, all about my relationship with Jesus.

Please help me with comments or give some testimonials about your personal reason celebrating christmas. Thanks

Bestfriends?

I was thinking about the word "bestfriends", what does it means, and who should i categorized in terms of "my bestfriends". What is the different between friends and bestfriends?
I have some kind of theory about this, i don't know if it is correct or not but gonna give it a go (please comment if i say something wrong :p)

here it go:
the equation in terms of his/her relationship with you
a person you know =< a friend =< a bestfriend

a person you know :
- a classmate
- a roommate
- someone from church
- someone from school
- etc (basically people you know and ever had a conversation with more then twice)

a friend is "a person you know" that:
- you care about
- you are comfortable talking and chatting with
- you like to know better
- you often spend time together


a bestfriend is "a friend" that:
- you treat like your own brother / sister
- treats you the same way
- that cares about you and understands you the most


well you can go on with the list but i really thinks that "my bestfriends" are the people who cares about me and understands me which i really consider as my brothers and sisters.

Now, in many verses in the bible Jesus consider us as a friend which means, He cares about us, He wants to know us better, He likes to spend time together with us and much more. That is why i consider Him as my bestfriend so that he will also consider me not just as a friend but as His bestfriend.

Who is God?

Ok, why am I starting to talk about this? Actually as Christians each of us must know the answer of this question. Everyone can say he is the creator or he is someone up there, but what do you personally think? Who is Jesus? Who is god?
For me, Jesus is my best friend, my counselor, the one who leads my life and mostly He who stands beside me every second of my life.

I have been changing these last few months, I don't know when it started but it just did. I stopped smoking, which I am very grateful for. I stopped one of the game i am addicted to (one more to go). I think about Him every where i go, i am letting him lead my life. Its like riding a rollercoaster without holding on and with your eyes closed, you don't really know when will it turn or go down or even go upside down.

When I said letting him lead my life some people might think that:
1. Ignorant and don't care about my life
2. Become lazy and not responsible
3. Not independent
4. Many thing else

It is actually the other way around, I care about my life that is my I want God to use me to the max. And I care about other people thats why I want to introduce God to everyone (thats why i have become more talkative than ever). It is not that i am not responsible, but letting your life to God is the most responsible way of living because he will give u the best for you, maybe not the exactly what we want or the best according to us but it is always the best for us which a bigger plan always waits ahead of us.

Today I was talking to one of my best friend about Love, life and future. I just realized that most of us thinks that this life is like a puzzle even living with God, we always try to finish that puzzle and know what the final picture like (most likely we need to see the final picture while doing that puzzle). Honestly, I would agree that we are like a puzzle but we DON'T have to finish that puzzle because God is working on it, and we don't need to know the final picture because God knows.
What i am trying to say is God have the final picture thats why He is the only one who can finish this puzzle correctly, we can't finish this puzzle because don't have any clue what would this puzzle be like.

I am really amazed with what can i learn from other people's oppinion and testimonies. That is why don't be affraid to talk to people about your self and to testify about God to your friends, it might be a very ordinary life or testimony according to you, BUT to other people it is extraordinary and a life changing story.

Remember, God is the one who will knock or make the first move to you, just be ready to open up your heart and let him be in the middle of your life. I am not saying life would be easier or run smoothly, but i asure you that you will live this life with assurance of God and all His promises are yours to claim as well.
